OOC;; unnessasary, I know. But I just really wanted to this... So... btw, Shade I know that Icepaw's already an apprentice, but can I pretend? If not I can go through and change it.
Forsythia as most addressed her, instead of her full title, was just one of the many names she bore. One of the most common names given to her by other warriors of her same age tended to dub her "Daffy". Well, anyway, this girl stood in the middle of the clearing. Her brain cleared of anything to do but stand. Silently she prattled on about how Leadership was much more boring then she'd ever expected it to be. But she was stuck with it now, and if she did say so herself she did a pretty good job. Finally an idea struck her, and she felt kind of stupid for not thinking of it before. She bounded over to the center of camp where a large stone stood, it's top was smooth. With a single powerful leap she toped it. Let all cats of Stealthclan gather around for a clan meeting! she cried. Her voice was loud and jubliant. She grinned like the child she was, lemony eyes shining. She cleared her throat a couple times and then waited as cats flocked beneath her...

Darkfire was sleeping in the Warrior's den. He had been hoping to sleep in without the rest of the clan figuring out. When he was awakened, the tom was sure that he had been discovered dozing off instead of doing the deputy's duties like he should have been doing...
A few moments later, he discovered that there was no cat in the den to scold him about his laziness. Momentarily confused, he lifted his head up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes and pricking his ears for more hints on what he should do next. Then he poked his head out of the den's entrance and discovered Forsythiastar, waiting patiently for the rest of the clan to appear, probably for a clan meeting. He padded out of the den, hoping nobody had seen him, and settled down in front of the stone.
"Hey, Daffy," he mewed up informally toward the top of the rock, trying not to yawn. "Are we having a clan meeting today?"

Well, hearing my leaders call I left the nursery with a curious gleam in my vacant eyes. I stared up in the direction my leader, or the direction I thought, my leader was in. It seemed very unlikely that I would ever be assigned a mentor but there was still this fading hope. Maybe I could be a healer or maybe an early elder, but still a clanmate.

all your histories like fire from a busted gun Wren walked from the shadows of the medicine cat den with a curious gleam in his eye. He had just recently been named medicine cat himself, one of the youngest healer in all of the Clans at the age of seventeen moons. He was not expecting that this ceremony would lead him into an era of mentoring, but he had known of the existence of a blind child born from a recent litter. It disturbed him that this boy would probably become his apprentice, for there was no way that Forsythiastar would allow him he chance to become a warrior. The Clan still believed that the blind were either incapable of anything or could be pushed to be healers. So, when the dark tom padded somewhere next to the smooth stone which the leader called to her Clan, there was an agitating itch beneath his skin. He felt too young to have an apprentice, to know that his reign as a single medicine cat was coming to a close in this sudden twist.
He gazed at his soon-to-be apprentice, light green gaze flitting over him as he turned back to their leader. There was no resentment, just a feeling of understanding. It was better to be placed as the medicine cat apprentice than to be no where in the Clan at all. "Are we going to start soon, Forsythiastar?" Her name was always formal to him, the dripping of it from her tongue tasted slightly bitter every time that he let it pass, as though eating the petals of a flower and realizing there was no taste. He didn't know what kind of emotion that he focused towards her, but he was aware of the taste in his mouth and the cold ring in his chest.

Icepaw;; Sometimes Tears are like Blood Rain but what if I told you I cried tears of Blood? Would you run from me?
I turned my head towards him, the one that was destined to be my mentor. I felt it deep within myself but I didn't know if it was an agony or an appreciation that only he could understand. I was sure he had seen many like me in his day. And again I am demoting myself ...Like Me There was nothing wrong with me, I continously told myself. Nothing, Nothing, Nothing. Nothing except the dead sapphire eyes that made me seem as though I lived between two worlds. OOC;; Sorry it's not that good...

I would try to be kind, and offer him a choice. He would see right through it, but it didn't matter. I smiled slowly and nodded deeply at my chosen deputy. Good afternoon, Darkfire. I meowed kindly, brushing off the childish name I had tried so hard to escape. And if it wasn't apparent, failed. Quietly excusing myself from the man's company I leaped down the rock and came to rest beside the blind boy. Icekit... I began, I wasn't sure how to continue.
You're six moons now, this is a long awaited time for all cats. But... I had to very carefully bite my tongue to not spit out the word blind as forward as I usually was. Instead I considered my word choice and then mewed, the challenge that is put before us brings us to this final question. I stopped, very unsure of how the tom would react, I could see the assumed mentor at the corner of my eye. I gave the clan's young medicine cat a slow dip of my head to assure his question. You must know, that the usual spot given to someone of your stature is Medicine Cat Apprentice. I meowed blatantly, it wasn't probably the kindest, but if I had experienced anything I knew that the majority of us liked the straight truth. Of course, I, on the other hand, will personally over-see a perhaps new style of teaching... Self-defense, opposition, hunting. But the choice isn't mine, and perhaps you indeed want or feel the place of your destiny is to be a medicine cat. I finished. Now it was his choice. And, quite frankly, I was glad that the real hard part was over for me, unless he said he would like me to train him. That I wasn't prepared for. Go with the flow, Daf. I reminded myself.
And I should have given you more time, but you see... It's kind of time. I murmured quietly to him, casting him an apologetic look.

I turned my face towards her, so I could at least appear to look at her. Don't sugercoat it, Forsythiastar, I am blind. I didn't adress her as my aunt, no, not right now. There is no choice for me but the path you and Wrenflight already know.

It is possible... I murmured under her breath. My eyes became misty as I stared down at my nephew. I hated it when everything went normally, we didn't reach new goals each day. I wanted to show the rest of the forest that we weren't dark-hearted scoundrels. Alright. this time I said it louder and backed away. Once upon my rock again I looked out over the crowd. I saw my d... niece trod out of the nursery. Her head down and shy as ever.
I knew it was time, I saw my aunt talking to Icekit. But I was still a little shocked, intimidated. Scared. Who would my aunt dare to put me with that would be able to put up with my shyness? I scanned the warriors, so many tall and proud, not studying their feet as I was. I wove through them and reached my brother's side. I usually pressed against him to make him feel better, but today it was for me. I think he probably understood that. I could read his expression. His blank eyes always sent a wave of remorse through me... That could have been me... I look around for out mother, I don't see her yet. I settle down and stop looking. I gaze up longingly at my aunt, the leader. She is proud and tall, brave and strong. I was proud to be related to her...
I smiled down at little Snowkit. It was time to start...

I nodded in greeting at my sister, a familiar feeling of distance returning to me. She was my only realative that actually cared what happened to me. In all honesty I wasn't that interesting, I was a small Blind tom, that would never get larger then an apprentice. The only thing that stuck out about me, besides my eyes was the snow white pelt. No, There Isnt I way. I mumbled under my breath. Her words reached me probably because of my eyes. Ive looked. I added silently. I returned my blind eyes to my aunt, or leader, both maybe without a glance to my mother. She was of course, as always looking at Snowkit with adoring eyes and regarding me with an utter disregard. That was something that messed with any childs head.

What! the ghost girl stared at him. What are you talking about!? Anything is possible for us! Obviously she was feeling braver because of such a large occasion. But inside she felt like melting eyes, crisp, clean, and living up to princess expectations, but once you actually sipped it you stuttered and shivered back in surprise. Ice water was bitter, she didn't like the water that melted from snow one bit. Not one bit.
Forsythiastar nodded slowly... And then finally seemed settled. She cast a small, sad smile at her sister. She cleared her throat a couple times, This Sunhigh, we gather together to name a new apprentice. Smiling down at her niece she meowed, Snowkit Come forward.
the little girl shuffled forward, her cheeks burning nervously.
From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Snowpaw. Poppyburst, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Snowpaw. Poppyburst, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of through loyalty and show a special exuberance to every new day. I expect you to pass on the skills your own mentor has taught you.
Me and Poppyburst?! their personalities surely clashed. But this made no difference. Leader's word went. Snowpaw scampered forward and lifted her head, stretching to reach the woman's already lowered face. The woman laughed, her laughter like a bubbling brook. She lowered her head, gently touching her nose and motioned her away from the center of attention.
Forsythiastar smiled, a true radiant smile this time. Now she turn and cast Wrenflight a long glance. Wren... Flight. she murmured, not quite comfortable calling him by his alias, not by calling him is full title.

all your histories like fire from a busted gun "Forsythiastar," he responded blandly. He looked out into the crowd where Icekit stood, nodding in the direction through the sapphire-eyed kid could not see him. It was not his duty to conduct the ceremony, but he knew that there was some kind of annoying pressure on him that he should say something. He didn't have anything important to say on the matter, the whole thing happening only because they did not want to send the child to the elder's den immediately at six moons. He would prove of some worth as a medicine cat, at least, and so this was all that they could do for him. The sad thing was, in truth, that he was not even twelve moons apart from the boy. They were like... brothers, of a sort. Only, that would probably not be the way of their relationship. "Icekit is to become medicine cat apprentice, I have chosen him." He almost grimaced at this portion of his speech. He had not chosen him, but it was the duty of the medicine cat to be merciful.
