Nightwhisper smiled at how good the breeze felt on her fur. She decided today would be a good hunting day.
"Would any care for the dawn patrol?" She asked in the warrior's den.

There was a soft breeze blowing through the camp towards Pantherpaw. He peered his head out of the apprentice's den, blinking his blue eyes in the soft light of the morning. There was a soft layering of clouds overhead, and there was a pleasant, crisp chill in the air. Pantherpaw closed his eyes and breathed in the scents that the wind carried to him. It smelled of the forest and of dew on blades of grass and everything that Pantherpaw loved.
He opened his eyes again, and spotted a she-cat standing on the other side of the clearing. Pantherpaw stared at the she-cat, who he recognized to be Nightwhisper, the deputy, after looking for a few moments. He pricked his ears; catching the words "dawn" and "patrol". Pantherpaw pulled himself completely outside of the den, hesitating for a moment where he stood. Could he go on the dawn patrol, too? He wasn't a warrior, and his mentor hadn't told him that he could, but it would be good warrior training for him, wouldn't it?
Shyly, Pantherpaw wandered up to Nightwhisper, looking down at his paws as he spoke. "Hi-hi, Nightwhisper," he meowed, his voice almost quiet enough to be carried away by the breeze and go unheard. "Are...are you taking out a dawn patrol?"
