Name:
The name he has been granted by the will of StarClan is Roaringstar. The first portion, roaring, from his fore-fathers, one of the distant relatives that was courageous and great during his life. The other a show of his leadership, all leaders granted with the 'star to show this.
Clan:
Roaringstar has served in DawnClan from the beginning of his life and there is no way that he'd be changing that part of himself now. He is happy in his place, and besides, even if he wanted to depart from the Clan he could not. He is now bound to the place of his birth because of his leadership. He would never turn his back and betray them by leaving them without a figurehead.
Rank:
Though it is shown through the 'star in his name, it is best to come out and state the facts. Roaringstar is leader of DawnClan. He has been leader for many moons now, but there are always more to come. He continues to lead them through thick and thin, and many know that he would not ever come close to betraying them. Ever.
Age:
Roaringstar is around fifty-five moons now-a-days. He has been leading the Clan for a good twenty-three, and the rest had been spent in a joyous romp of childhood. He cannot see the future and what his growing age will bring him, but he hopes to remain healthy. He has lost four lives to this day.
Gender:
Roaringstar is a man, and that is how he behaves. He acts almost like the typical guy, honest to the point its almost frustrating, but reckless in others. He also has some flirtacious qualities to him.
Appearance:
Roaringstar appears to be a nice blend of DawnClan and StealthClan. There are not touches of the others in there, luckily. He already has been comparaed to StealthClan cats which only doubled his bad reputation when he was younger because of his mysterious birth. The blood of both Clans probably does run through his veins, though this is from generations way back compared to his mother and father. It is mostly because of his stature that he is discriminated, his coat matches the forest that DawnClan stalks through. It is, after all, like the autumn leaves.
Roaringstar has been oversized compared to his other Clanmates since his apprenticeship. He was a decent sized kit until his sixth or seventh moon which began the growth spurt that would not stop until he reached his twelvth or thirteenth moon. He has a hulking frame, broad shoulders that look imposing, and a generally well-rounded and large look to him. He is not by any means tall, in fact, he always found himself on the rather smaller side of the spectrum. He rises decently above some she-cats, but not by much, and is by far smaller than any ZephyrClan cat or BrookClanner. Despite his lack of height, he is still considerably respected.
This leader has a decently rounded face, though if he is not expressing anything in general he often looks serious. This might be from the highlighting of his muzzle with the white, which creates shadows, and the tufts of fur that come off of his face in an almost lion-esque appearance. It almost looks as if he doesn't have a neck, like he is just one continuous body, bu there is some leanness to the back of his head that presents itself as a neck. His whiskers are unusually long and white, and they protrude from around his muzzle only. A top of his golden head are wide ears that are gently pointed at the very tip.
The color that paints Roaringstar is actually a rather handsome mixture. One can't say that he is only golden brown, though that is what one primarily will see when they look at his form. It is blended softly with darker browns and blacks, which appear all over him. He has some stripes, like that of a tiger, which are one of those browns on his back legs. There is only white right around his mouth, perhaps some tufts of it beneath him on his stomach. To match the forest even more in autumn there are hints of red in his coat, mostly on his back and on his forehead. He has a dark brown, feathered tail. It is completely this color from the base to the tip.
Roaringstar is a short-haired tom, though the fur grows dense and thick enough to keep him warm during all seasons. It does, sometimes, get a bit annoying during green-leaf, seeing as it hardly sheds between the time periods of leaf-bare and new-leaf. It makes him a bit annoyed at these times, but he is always grateful for it during the moons where it is frozen outside.
The man has simply golden eyes that fit nicely onto his smallish head. They appear golden most of the time, perhaps darkening a bit in the winter months like his coat does. His gaze is straight up dark yellow, simple as that. There are no flecks of darker color or shades of lighter things inside of them. They are as they are told to appear. The way in which they are shaped is slightly flatter on the top, as if his forehead is squishing them down.
All in all, Roaringstar is a pretty heavyset male with golden eyes and a handsome golden brown coat.
Personality:
Roaringstar isn't much different than he had been as an apprentice, or even a warrior. Perhaps at those times he had been a bit happier, carefree, but in a general outlook he is basically the same. He has a tendenacy to keep the views that he had as a child despite seeing how things really are in the political world of the Clans. This behavior, perhaps, isn't exactly what a leader should be presenting, but he has kept his reign this long without mutiny. He is expecting to keep that up.
Roaringstar has always had a very strange perception of justice. No, more accurately it was a child's view of the matter. He expects heroes and great men to lead them to the right decision, not realizing himself that he is in that position at times. He always looks to others for help, though perhaps he is unaware that he is doing it. Consultation with him is a common thing for the deputy and a couple of senior warriors. If he sees someone as trustworthy, intelligent, and capable of making a very good decision in a panicked situation he almost immediately labels them as someone he can depend upon. This might not always be the case, but he sticks to it with his equally childish stubbornness.
He has the determination of an apprentice who was told that they were not going to make it. Which is kind of ironic, because it is in those kind of situations that he works best. When someone challenges him because he might not want to participate in the sport at first, he will immediately turn at enough taunting and take the situtaion seriously enough to become so involved that he forgets completely that just two seconds ago didn't want to do that. He immerses himself in the rush of adrenaline and faces the thing that he is challenged to do with such a strange determination that others find it frightening. It is usually because of this rush that he accomplishes a task.
Roaringstar is also a sore loser, quite a sore loser. He hates to admit that he is wrong or defeated, trying his best to prove a point in an arguement until he gets first place. He will challenge someone until he beats them enough times to compare to how many times they had whomped him and then quit. He is simply a child at heart, or so it seems, with all of these emotions that tie into those with a couple of two moon old kittens. Even they can challenge him to a game and he'll play.
The leader is honest, very honest. He has no sense of an off-switch, which makes his honesty almost seem insulting because he can't hold back. When he did something wrong as a kitten he could not keep it in, blurting out his and his denmates mistakes with tears beginning in his eyes. He simply can't tell a lie, the guilt gnaws at him until he reveals his error. Even now, as a leader, he has a difficulty in keeping his mouth completely shut. At gatherings he often has to get the help of his medicine cat or deputy to make sure that he doesn't always reveal the weaknesses in his Clan.
Then there is seriousness somewhere inside of him. When he is faced with a situation that he can not get through easily he will somehow change faces into someone who knows what they are doing. He will dictate the situation as calmly as he can, pushing forward his opinion and orders with an assurance in both his voice and his eyes. This is a side of him that is admired by his Clanmates, while his other childish faces are rather dreaded at times.
And finally there is his emotional side. This is displayed as a child-like thing as well, getting frustrated at first when something bad happens to him, like a death, and eventually just breaking down and grieving over the individual lost. He does not pretend and put up a happy face, he is simply not capable of doing something so easy like that. He often sulks in his den after a death or a blow to the Clan, though he will lead it through the disaster.
It is rare, if ever, that Roaringstar will get mad, so there is no reason to expand upon the idea. He just simply blows up, yells, screams.
History:
Roaringstar had two very interesting parents. The man, his father, was named Gorgedrop and was very much in love with his mother. He had a deep relationship with her when they finally admitted their feelings for each other. However, they did not commit in their relationship into farther into their lives after both of them realized that they didn't want anyone but the other. His mother, the female in the relationship, was Violetheart. The two of them tried to deny their feelings by pursuing relationships with others, kidding themselves that they did not look back at the other and see pain. They wanted each other, but they didn't know how to achieve that dream and so pretended.
When the two childhood friends finally confessed and came together, Violetheart got pregnant for the first time. However, all of the kittens that were born in that first litter were still born. Frightened to try again and fail yet again, Violetclaw began to avoid her husband. In fear of losing her, Gorgedrop got more on the offensive and often cornered her in attempts to get time together. That merely drove her away further. In her hysteria one day, Violetheart fled from her man and ran into StealthClan territory, running into a man there. She began to see him frequently, though did not engage in any illicete activities with him. However, someone observed their conversation one day at a gathering and grew suspicious. That one told Gorgedrop, who grew enraged. In his anger, he took Violetheart by force and impregnated her again. This led to troubles.
Gorgedrop felt guilt after taking his mate so violently and tried to beg for her forgiveness, which she gave though he could see the pain that she had behind her eyes which was carefully hiding the fear. She, however, was taking even more time to go see this StealthClan tom. No one caught her once again, but others started to wonder what she was doing outside of camp all of the time. Gorgedrop watched her from afar, trying not to be angry like he had been before. But he was worried about her, about the kits that she would be giving life too. The first litter had been no success, he did not want this next one to be the same.
Violetheart gave birth on the Stealth and DawnClan border with her husband and the opposite Clan tom present. This was the reason that Roaringstar's heritage is questioned, not that anyone knows that the other tom had been looming over the kits with a smile in his eyes. They just assumed that she was visiting her other Clan lover right before she crumbled to the ground and began these new kits lives. There were three and they were named on the spot, Roaringkit, Sunkit, and Thornkit. The woman did not utter a word to the StealthClan tom, though for some reason her husband knew that he had lost her to him.
The woman left her children when they were two moons old, giving them to another nursery queen while both the younger girl and the kittens slept. She gave her old home one swift look before departing to be with the one that she really adored, the StealthClan tom who left behind his place in the Clan to become loners together. Roaringstar does not remember anything about his mother because of this, growing up as a child because of this. However, this forced step into adulthood was what led to his childish behavior as an apprentice, warrior, and eventually leader.
Roaringkit was the oldest and the most supportive of his siblings, he took care of them when the others taunted them about not having a mother. He was not the most popular of the group as a kitten, often speaking few words, only saying enough to make sure that the others left his siblings be. He was distant from everyone except for his family by a choice, and also because no one wated to associate themselves with him and his brother and sister. However, he knew that they wanted to have friends and often allowed them to play. He just winced, though, when they were put into danger because they wanted to have fun, when the others would use them as practice targets and they'd just stand there and take it. He would always pull them away before they got into too much trouble.
Roaringkit became Roaringpaw at the age of six moons, his apprenticeship on schedule and his sudden growth spurt beginning. He rose above the rest of the children his age, his shoulders broadened as he was trained. He was assigned to a girl known as Snowdrift, who also shared the spot as his first crush.
His personality began to regress as he moved into his apprenticehood. He decided that it was no longer his responsibility that his siblings were protected and began to act childish. When others would challenge him, now realizing that their discrimination was wrong, Roaringpaw was always the one that would accept after a couple of good jeers about his mother and her illegal eloping with the man that no one knew. Or how weak his father had become. It just infuriated Roaringpaw and gave him the push that he needed to face them. He usually got pumped enough to beat them down a bit, causing them to back away from his pulsing eagerness. He just seemed too into the whole thing.
This became a trait that was discovered by his mentor, Snowdrift. She pushed him to the limit with side-comments that she said, words barely audible to his ears. When he succeeded in a task, often due to her bugging him, she always rewarded him with an almost maternal lick between the ears or a smile that dazzled him. Though he hates to admit it now, Roaringpaw had seen her in a maternal light that he mistaked as affection. She was a new warrior anyway, Roaringpaw being her first apprentice. She did not know that her behaviors affected him so. Seeing that she was only several moons older than he was, Roaringpaw was ultimately attracted to her to the point that a moon or so he became a warrior he confessed to her. She, at the time being wooed by Adderbite, did not know what to say to her apprentice. She had seen him simply as her student, or perhaps a little brother, nothing more. She let him down easily, though he grew embarrassed at his misinterpretation and retreated to mumbling things before walking away. That last moon was awkward.
Roaringpaw became Roaringstrike at fourteen moons old. He could not depart from the now tension filled training sessions that he had been pushing himself through with Snowdrift. She did not look back at him again, and he was fine with that. There was no reason for her to do something like that. However, he did grow closer with the apprentices that had been made warriors with him, along with his siblings, now Sunsayer and Thornstep. He was happily introduced to the warriors den and he made friends with some of the older warriors as well. Roaringstrike was content with this new turn of events.
The tom was of help to the Clan. He trained apprentices with a smiling ease, acting always as their teacher first and then as their friend. His first apprentice was Greypaw, a young she-cat who was nervous almost about everything that she did. She finished her training without much of a problem, though at the end she did tell him that she looked at him a lot like she would a father figure, seeing as though she had lost her before she was born. There was something that he could relate to with her, though he could not take her meekness as a comparison to his outgoing behavior. She became Greytalon when she was made into a warrior and he proudly watched her become one. He faintly recalled it being like watching his little girl becoming older.
His other apprentice--before becoming deputy--was Birdpaw, an annoying little tom who insisted on asking him questions every two seconds. Roaringstrike just laughed at him most of the time, often joking around when he made a mistake and acting as though he was an idiot. The two of them seemed to be older brother and younger brother instead of mentor and apprentice. Roaringstrike liked this assumption though it made Birdpaw blush everytime. Nothing ever bad happened during their training, though it was a sneak attack that gave Birdpaw the chance to become a warrior. His name was Birdcall when he was finally accepted into the Clan as a full-fledged warrior.
Roaringstrike became deputy when the deputy at the time had decided that she was too old and took the step down. He was pleased with the news and expressed his happiness in a great whoop after all of the cheering for him had faded away. He was congradulated by all of those who were close to him. Others just gave strange little chuckles at this behavior while Roaringstrike just smiled queerly. But he had always been a bit... kittish, as everyone observed him to be.
In a strange turn of events the current leader passed away two moons after the title of deputy had been granted too Roaringstrike. The young man accepted this with raised eyebrows and a deep, unsettled grief in his heart for the man who had made him deputy. He departed to meet up with StarClan the night that his leader had died, and recieved his nine lives with that pain still in his heart. The ancestors granted him the name, Roaringstar, and so he began his reign as leader.
In all honesty, Roaringstar's leadership had been a dull one. He has trained apprentice, granted warrior names and given the title of deputy too two different characters by now. Nothing has brought out the amazingness of being a leader, though there is not a reason that he'd want to have amazing border battles or eventful gatherings in which the moon was covered over. He has sat among the politicians and debated with them and still doesn't know why this is such a prized position. He works his best to protect his Clan and in doing so has lost four lives. But, it seems that something in the air is telling him that new things are coming.

You said I don't need it, if you must see a sample of my writing for amusement though, go to Tears of Pain and look for my posts. They are decent, I suppose. They are not ridiculously long like THAT though. I would make people not want to RP with me. D:
