Darkfire looked around the camp, searching for Ravenpaw. Where was that apprentice?
After a while of searching, he finally found Ravenpaw in the apprentice's den. Lazy tom. He ought to be out being useful. I'll fix that, Darkfire thought, and he went into the den.
"Oi, Ravenpaw! Get out of there. We're going training." He headed out of the den, to give him time to wake up, and waited patiently outside. |

Ravenpaw blinked open an eye. I'm tired though... When Darkfire left, the dark gray tom stood up and kicked Smokepaw. Then, he groomed his fur and padded out of the den. "What are we gunna do today?" Ravenpaw smirked and ran paw over his ear. |

The deputy glanced over his apprentice as he came out from the den. He looks like he may know a bit in fighting, Darkfire thought. Ravenpaw was well built already; he would be fun to train.
"Hmm. I guess we ought to work on battle training first, then hunting." He motioned with his tail to Ravenpaw and led him into the trees.

He ran quickly behind Darkfire, taking advantage of speed, and spang. He sunk his claws onto the deputy's back, knowing the warrior wouldn't reach him. Then. Ravenpaw jumped at his head, and batted it with enormous paws. |

Darkfire quickly twisted his head as Ravenpaw batted at it. He quickly swung out a hind leg and swished it under the apprentice, knocking him off balance. Springing up, he jumped over Ravenpaw and pinned him to the ground.
"Good try," the warrior commented. "But next time, you'll want to be on guard. Any point could be on the attack. Constantly be on the move. Don't let your opponent see you clearly."

Ravenpaw nodded in thanks for the advice. He was about to pounce again, but then saw the full moon rising above the trees. "Can I go to the gathering tonight?"

Darkfire pondered Ravenpaw's question for a moment, then opened his mouth to give his answer.
"Of course you can go to the Gathering, Ravenpaw. The leaders all agreed that all the cats would be going this moon. Come on, let's go to the camp."
